Corrections Policy
When a guide gets something wrong, we fix it quickly and openly. Here is how to report an error, how fast we act and how corrections show on a guide.
- Every guide on Vacuum Owl
Our commitment
We want every guide on Vacuum Owl to be accurate. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and openly.
How to report an error
Use our contact page and choose Report a correction or out-of-date detail. Tell us the page, what’s wrong and, if you can, a source.
It also helps if you include:
- Your vacuum's model number, from the rating label underneath or on the back.
- What you saw instead, such as what your owner's guide says.
How fast we fix it
We acknowledge every report within 48 hours and fix confirmed errors within 7 business days. Errors that could affect someone’s safety are fixed first, as soon as we confirm them.
Types of correction
- Correction: we fix a factual error.
- Safety correction: we fix an error that could affect someone’s safety. These come first.
- Retraction: when a guide is wrong at its core and can’t be fixed, we remove it and explain why.
An update isn’t a correction. When we add new information or refresh a guide because something changed, we update its date but don’t label it a correction.
How corrections show on a guide
We fix errors directly in the guide and update its “Last updated” date. We don’t add a correction note for small fixes. We add a note at the top of the guide only for a major error: a Safety correction, a Retraction, or a correction that changes the guide’s main advice. The note says what was wrong, what we changed and when.
Who handles corrections
Anjali Singh, our Editor, checks every report. Aman Singh, the founder, reviews and approves every correction.
We’ll let you know
If you give us your email, we’ll tell you what we found and when the fix is live.
