Reach the buyers who're about to buy a vacuum.

Vacuum Owl is the independent home of US vacuum buying intent - researching a model, comparing brands, buying, and maintaining the vacuum they own. We work with a small number of brand partners each quarter, with editorial control we don't negotiate.

Who reads Vacuum Owl

Readers in a decision window.

Our readers arrive from Google with a specific vacuum question and a same-session decision to make. We cover four moments in the buying journey - researching what to buy, comparing options, buying, and maintaining the vacuum they own.

  • 01 · Research

    Figuring out what to buy

Reading buying guides, checking suction and filtration specs, and weighing types - cordless, robot, upright, canister - before they spend a cent.

    Sample query

    best vacuum for pet hair

  • 02 · Compare

    Weighing the options

Shark vs. Dyson, robot vs. cordless, which brand holds up, and whether the upgrade is worth the price difference at all.

    Sample query

    shark vs dyson

  • 03 · Buy

    Pulling the trigger

Picking the right model and configuration, reading the hands-on verdict, and knowing which accessories and filters they actually need.

    Sample query

    best cordless vacuum 2026

  • 04 · Maintain

    When the vacuum acts up

Diagnosing lost suction, a clogged brushroll, or a robot error code, and knowing exactly which part to clean, replace, or reset.

    Sample query

    roomba won't charge

Coverage stops at the vacuum itself. We write about vacuum cleaners as a device - buying, brands, types, tech and filtration, technique, maintenance, troubleshooting, and accessories - not broad home-appliance roundups, shopping deals, coupon hunting, or general consumer news. Pitches in those categories are declined at the first email.

Why partners choose us

The trust stack you're buying into.

A partnership is only as valuable as the publication's credibility on the day it ships. Three pillars protect that credibility - each backed by a public policy a buyer can audit before signing.

Independent

No vacuum brand or manufacturer ownership.

Owned by its editors. No holding company, no vacuum brand parent, no manufacturer stake.

Every pick we publish is reported on merit, and we put that work on the byline - alongside the senior editor who signed off. Partnerships do not change what we recommend.

Editorial policy

Tested

Every vacuum tested by hand.

Every pick tested · Every test dated · Run on real floors in real US homes, not a sponsored lab.

Suction, filtration, and durability findings come from putting each vacuum to work on real floors in real US homes, and we date-stamp every review when we test it. We never publish a result we haven't measured ourselves - and we say so in writing.

How We Test

Transparent

Disclosure on every paid placement.

“Paid Partnership” label above the H1 · public corrections log · named bylines on every article.

Sponsored work is labelled before the reader scrolls. The sponsorship policy spells out exactly what a sponsor can and cannot influence, and every substantive correction lands in a public log.

Editorial guardrails

Where we draw the line.

We turn down roughly one inquiry in four. The two columns below are the reason - they protect the readership you're paying to reach.

We will

  • Publish honest writing that helps readers reach a decision.
  • Fact-check your offer and terms against your own published documentation.
  • Label every paid placement clearly, above the H1.
  • Deliver promised impressions and reporting on schedule.
  • Renew partnerships where the work was good.

We won't

  • Change an editorial pick in exchange for payment.
  • Remove a competitor's mention from a best-of guide.
  • Accept a sponsored article that contradicts our hands-on test results for a vacuum.
  • Hide the “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” label.
  • Include affiliate links in a sponsored article.

Common requests we decline

  • Backlink-only requests on the homepage or category pages.
  • Sponsored content that presents medical, legal, or financial advice as editorial.
  • Cryptocurrency, online gambling, or adult-content sponsors.
  • Replacing an existing editorial pick with the sponsor's product.
  • Removing a critical mention of the sponsor's product from existing content.

The process

From brief to publication.

  1. Day 0

    You send a brief

If we can run it, you receive a specific format, a publication date, a price, and an editorial brief. If we can't, we say so plainly.

  3. Ongoing

    We publish & report

Confirmation email with the live URL, then impression and click reporting on the cadence the format requires.

Vacuum Owl

We launched in 2024 to build a US vacuum publication that doesn't owe anything to a vacuum brand, a manufacturer, or a holding company. Partnering with us right now is a chance to help shape what an independent publication's ad program looks like - and to lock in early-partner terms before traffic catches up to the editorial program.

If you're curious whether your service is a fit, send a brief and you'll hear back from me directly within two business days.

Submit a brief

Tell us what you're trying to do.

The basics are enough - we'll come back with a proposal, a price, and a publication date. If we're not a fit, we'll say so plainly.

Frequently asked

The short version.

If your question isn't here, put it in the brief and we'll answer it in our reply.

Ready when you are

Put your brand in front of buyers mid-decision.

Two business days from your brief to our proposal. The editor-in-chief reads every inquiry himself - no autoresponders, no junior salesperson.
